Trina Sue Overcast-Thielman

My name is Trina Thielman.  I am the youngest child of Dow and Karleen Waggoner-Overcast.  My older brother and sisters are: Dow Overcast, Jr., Maurine Taylor, and Pat Ragsdale.  I was born in Havre, Montana June 7, 1944 and was raised on the family farm east of Chinook.  I attended the North Fork Country School from grades 1-8.  I graduated from Chinook High School in 1962.  I started the summer semester at the Great Falls Business College.

In October of 1962 I married Ronald Brinkman.  A son, Patrick Scott Brinkman was born November 7, 1963.  We later divorced.  In May, 1971 I married Terry Thielman.  We have two children; Charles Dean was born May 26, 1973, and Tanya Lee was born August 2, 1975.  Terry and I lived in Chinook until 1973 when we moved to Chester.  A couple years later we bought the farm from Terry's parents.

We continued to farm until the fall of 1997.  We sold the farm except for 40 acres and the buildings.  I went to work at the Liberty County Treasurer's office in January 1988 and am still employed by the county.  Terry supplemented our farming with a mail route.  He still has his mail route that goes up to the Sweetgrass Hills.  He is also working for a neighbor who farms just north of our place.  Out oldest son, Pat and his wife Shannon have one child, Bryce Logan Brinkman who was born June 12, 1998.  Pat is a Master Patrol Officer for the Great Falls Police Department.  Charlie is in Chester.  He graduated from college with a degree in Auto Body Repair and is employed with the Liberty County Road Department and installs windshields in the evenings.  He bought a trailer and put it up in our yard so he is always near by.  Tanya is an RN working at Billings Deaconess Hospital in the Ambulatory Unit.  Tanya and her husband Tom Dahinden have one son, Tyler Xavier who was born January 21, 2000 and are expecting another baby in May 2001.

In my spare time I enjoy spending time with our grandchildren.  I enjoy my flower gardening but my thumbs are pretty black.  I also enjoy doing a lot of camping and floating the Marias River in canoes.

(Note:  Trina is always very instrumental in arranging the yearly Overcast Family Reunions.)
